British actress and ‘Bond’ girl Gemma Arterton is down-to-earth yet beautiful and when she’s on the red carpet, she always looks stunning. Preferring to place an emphasis on her eyes, she loves a dramatic eyeliner or smoky makeup for big events. When it comes to looking after her skin, Gemma has picked up some top tips to keep her visage looking youthful and fresh, and her biggest secret is a special collagen cream that she frequently applies to her face. She also loves natural oils and loves retro inspired beauty looks.

1.     She Uses Collagen Cream

Gemma restores her collagen with a special cream: “I use collagen cream. This is a really recent thing, like in the last six months. My facialist told me that when you’re around 25, you stop making collagen — or the production slows down. Collagen is what keeps your skin plump. I use this cream that’s pure collagen, like a sea-based collagen, and I put it on. It’s like food!"

2.      Her Favourite Skin Oil

Her favourite oil is one Lady Gaga loves too: "Almond oil, I love that stuff. I learned that secret from Lady Gaga. I thought, ‘If Lady Gaga can do it, I can do it.' No [I'm not friends with her] I wish! I’ve never met her."

3.      She Focuses on Her Eyes

She likes to make a statement with eye makeup: ''I tend to choose eyes over lips when it comes to red-carpet make-up. I like this look - it's very dramatic and reminds me of Italian actresses in the 50s and 60s, it's a bit Sophia Loren.''

4.      She Likes Light Foundation

She likes light foundations so her freckles are still visible: ''I don't like heavy foundations that cover my freckles. I wear Le Teint Touche Eclat because it gives me a luminous glow.''

5.      She Isn’t a Perfectionist

Gemma isn't concerned with being completely perfect: "There’s a beauty in something that’s not quite perfect sometimes – the accident of it being a bit raw – there’s a real charm in that."
