Jennifer Lopez is known for her always glowing, radiant complexion that seems to defy time and only looks better as the years roll by. Sharing just a few of her top makeup, skin and beauty secrets, Jennifer has dished out how she stays looking gorgeous. Preferring simple, unfussy beauty products and opting to stay out of the sun to prevent premature ageing, the singer and actress has a health-conscious approach to beauty and she’s also admitting that she hopes to avoid going under the knife in the future, opting to age the natural way instead.


1.      She Doesn’t Drink or Smoke

Jennifer keeps her skin clear by avoiding alcohol and smoking: "I never drank or smoked, and it's really paying off now because my skin is still really good with moisturizing and getting good sleep. I've never had Botox or any of those things. But when I need to, maybe I will."


2.      She Uses Self-Tan

She stays out of the sun to prevent pre-mature ageing and wears bronzer instead: “The number one beauty tip Scott Barnes [her makeup artist] has taught me is to stay out of the sun. We’ve always worked with bronzers and self-tanners instead. It’s been over 10 years now that Scott has been telling me to stay out of the sun and it has saved my skin.”


3.      She Wears Highlighter Under Her Foundation

Jennifer's makeup artist applies highlighter before a layer of foundation to create a glow: "I use highlighter before foundation for that glow that looks like it comes from within. Full coverage foundation can look a little dull or matte. With highlighter underneath it gives a really naturally looking glow."


4.      She Uses Basic Skincare

She loves simple skincare products: “I’m a big believer in the basics. Less is more, I get my cleanser from my dermatologist. I need a great cleanser because I’ve had to wear a lot of makeup for so many years. I use a very mild makeup remover and a very basic sunscreen-moisturizer combo, I and I try to get lots of sleep.”


5.      She Takes Time for Herself

She always takes time to relax: “Take time for yourself. When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you are a better person and parent. That doesn’t require a week at a spa. I just breathe and clear my mind whenever I have a moment. Sometimes we just have to do nothing, just breathe.”
