weather finally starts to improve and spring arrives, it seems only fitting to
adapt your makeup to suit the weather and of course, what you’re wearing! These
5 stars have commented on how they change their makeup routine come spring.
Lightening up on the amount of foundation they use and hoping to make their
skin look more natural, these stars also think a coloured eyeshadow or lipstick
can look gorgeous during those warm months. Here are their tips!
1. Elle Macpherson
to add a subtle hint of colour to her eyes: "A subtle wash of color is the
perfect way to switch-up my make-up for spring, plus I can build up the intensity
for a more dramatic evening look."
2. Kate Walsh
to add one or two pops of colour to her beauty look for spring: "Tom Ford
has this lipstick called Wild Ginger, but there are so many great shades out
there. I like sheer lip stains, too, and more opaque lipstick. They're just
beautiful. I'm loving pops of color everywhere, with the blocking and the bright
yellow pumps. I'm just loving it."
3. Lauren Conrad
her cover more sheer so it looks less heavy on her skin: “I like to dilute my
cover-up with a little eye cream during the warmer months. It makes this
traditionally heavier makeup a bit lighter and sheerer."
4. Rachel Zoe
a soft, sun-kissed look: “My change of season regimen is all about getting
lighter and more au natural in the makeup and hair department, while throwing a
few other warm-weather picks in the mix: bright polish shades, sun-kissed body lotion,
and moisturizers with a high SPF.”
5. Victoria Justice
goes minimal when the weather heats up: "Instead of wearing foundation, do
a tinted moisturizer instead. Wear waterproof mascara, and stick to blush and
lip gloss. Not even lip gloss — lip balm!"
