Still in the
middle of awards season, the 2014 BAFTA Awards took place over the weekend and
as usual, several big name stars were not only dressed the part, but also
selected flattering hair and makeup looks for the big event. Here is a run
through the best seen on the red carpet.
1. Amy Adams
‘American
Hustle’ actress Amy Adams shone on the red carpet. Wearing a pretty raspberry
lipgloss teamed with a light layer of black eye makeup, the actress showed off
dewy porcelain skin and completed the beauty look with a tidy bun hairdo. The
overall result was natural but with an elegant edge that still looked dressed
up enough for the red carpet.
2. Angelina Jolie

Jolie surprised when she arrived on the red carpet in a masculine tux look. She
oozed sex appeal with loose wavy hair and added sultry dark smoky kohl-rimmed
eyes and nude lips – the beauty look was pared back and with a focus on her
eyes.
3. Cate Blanchett
Australian
actress Cate Blanchett’s famously peachy complexion was glowing as she arrived
to the awards show. She looked timelessly graceful with a grey smoky eye and
minimal foundation, sweeping her hair back in to a sophisticated hairdo that
wasn’t overly complicated but suited her ensemble.
4. Maggie Gyllenhaal
Showing off
her daring pixie cut which she styled simply for the evening, Maggie decided to
add some colour to her otherwise quite dark look with a bright pink lip. Adding
layers of mascara and some rose coloured blush, Maggie went feminine and
refined for the red carpet.
5. Naomie Harris

added some flattering black eye makeup to the corner of her eyes, nude glossy
lips and bronzed her cheekbones to complete her gorgeous red ensemble. Wearing her
hair in a simple sleek ponytail, Naomie’s casual chic take is a hit.
