¾ lb. lean (90%) ground beef

½ lb. ground turkey breast

2 Tbsp. tomato paste

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Sea salt and pepper

Oil, for coating grill

4 slices reduced-fat Cheddar cheese

4 hamburger buns, split

Garnishes: lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard (optional)

1.    Preheat oven to 425°F. In medium bowl, gently combine ground beef, ground turkey, tomato paste, Worcestershire, ½ teaspoon sea salt, and ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions, then form into 3/4-inch-thickpatties. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour or up to overnight.

2.    Preheat outdoor grill for direct grilling on medium-high or preheat large ridged grill pan; rub with oil. Place burgers on hot grill, and cook 6 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Top each with slice of cheese, close grill lid (or tent grill pan with foil), and cook about 1 minute, or until cheese is melted. Place cheeseburgers on buns with your choice of garnishes.
