‘Coronation Street’ star Michelle Keegan has opened up on her latest collection for British brand Lipsy. Launching her fifth offering with the company, Michelle has spoken on where she sources her inspiration for the very successful fashion line. She reveals that she looks to a mixture of different sources and specifically “different eras” which she thinks might adapt well to her own tastes:
”I take an influence from all different eras. Anything from the ’60s to Hollywood glamour, as well as the ’90s and ’80s. I think different eras can suit different occasions or moods.”
Michelle has decided that for her latest collection, she would try to rework her “classic favourites” to mix in some new season trends and bright shades for the spring season ahead: ”This is my fifth collection for Lipsy and It includes all my classic favourites, which I’ve reworked with some of the hottest trends and colours for spring/summer.” Excited to be creating a spring/summer collection, Michelle went for bright colours and even added in some fluorescent pink into the new line:
“It’s my debut spring collection and it’s such a fun time as I can introduce new styles – and I was able to put in some flashes of fluorescent pink.”
The actress is also excited about getting dressed for the upcoming festive season and likes Christmas outfits to have a sparkle: “Christmas is the one time of year you can’t go wrong with a touch of sparkle,’ she said of her festive style. I like to go for an outfit that has sequins, glitter or some kind of embellishment. Also, I love to wrap up in an oversized knit for a more casual look.”
