Jennifer Aniston is launching her second fragrance
after she previously created her debut scent back in 2011. The 'Friends'
actress has titled the new perfume simply 'J by Jennifer Aniston' and has
opened up on how her new perfume differs from her past one. The actress says
the first scent was just simple and very feminine. She has now gone in a
completely new direction and reveals that the new perfume has a "salty sea
smell" which she thinks is quite laidback and effortless to wear: ''My
debut fragrance is a clean, feminine perfume - it reminds me of the way you
smell when you just arrive at the beach: fresh, with a touch of sunblock and
sand. This new fragrance is its complement. It has a hint of that salty sea
smell that reminds me of a day spent in the ocean. It's relaxed and
refreshing.''
Explaining why she decided to launch
her own fragrance, Jennifer comments that it had been just a hobby for quite
some time and she used to enjoy experimenting with different oils to create her
own presents for friends. When she was offered to create her own she was very
excited about the opportunity and couldn't wait to try it: ''I wanted to create
my own fragrance because for years, I would make scented oils and lotions for
my girlfriends for wedding showers, baby showers and birthdays. I would create
a personalised scent for them, so when I was offered the opportunity to design
my own fragrance I jumped at the chance.'
