Kelly believes that looks that take their inspiration from the 1950’s are the most flattering because they highlight a womanly hourglass silhouette. She believes this feminine approach to fashion suits everyone and she takes a lot of her style inspiration from this vintage look:

“1950s looks [are the most flattering], because I like an hourglass figure and they really knew how to design for a woman’s physique in the 50s.”

Kelly recently launched her first fashion collection and revealed that it has taken a long time to get to this point because she spent years educating herself before deciding she was ready to debut her line as she wanted to know precisely what is flattering on the female form. She explained:

“This has been a 12 year love affair as I wanted to educate myself before partnering with my manufacturing partner, Jupi! If you are designing women’s wear really learn about a women’s physique as not very many women have the body of a model! In my dreams I see it as a massive company that’s empowering and changing lives of women all over the world through fashion.”

The designer also said that she thinks “confidence” is key when it comes to making tricky or statement outfit look effortless. She says that being confident is a big part of her own style and is so important: “It’s because I like the way I look & don’t care what people think – confidence is hard to find but the very best fashion accessory!”
