According to Samuel Oetoro, nutrition expert from Siloam hospital (Indonesia), during the sleep, water is used for evaporation process of the body. Moreover, the body activities are operated continuously during the sleep so water’s necessary.

Cell metabolisms are still operated while sleeping and water will help the cells to work more effectively. For that reason after sleeping for 6-8 hours, the body can be lacking in water because the metabolisms have used all the water supply of the day.

Dr. Samuel said that was why he recommended for everyone to drink water right after waking up in the morning, which was to provide the lost liquid supply when sleeping.

If you don’t drink water after waking up, your body will be lack of minerals. If that situation lasts long, it’ll cause bad effects on your health. You just need to drink a big glass of water after waking up in the morning in order to provide the additional water supply for body.

Remember that you should never underestimate the value of water. However, you should also need to choose drinks that are easy to absorb. Drinking water needs to be guaranteed about the health benefits. Water often contains hydro and oxygen but, at the same time, the body also needs minerals, such as sodium, potassium, chloride to support the muscle development.
