Rachel Zoe’s Top 5 Best Makeup, Hair& Beauty Tips

Stylist to the stars and fashion designer Rachel Zoe may be best known for her impeccable dress sense, but she has also learnt plenty about beauty over the years and admits to being “obsessed” with all things related to hair and makeup. Here are some of the best tips she’s given related to beauty, including some of the products she turns to when dealing with frizzy hair or if she simply wants to create a sun-kissed glow.

  1. She Prefers Organic, Natural Products

She loves organic products that are as natural as possible, and comments on her favourite hair product find: “I’m a product junkie, so you know when it comes to hair lately I’ve been really using this product called Coco de Soleil. Its really, really good. It’s all natural ingredients, all organic. Again my son keeps putting my hair in his mouth and everything so I haven’t been using anything with chemicals or parabens or sulfates or anything.”

  1. She Loves a Bold Lip

Rachel loves a strong lip and has lots of lipsticks: ”My mom taught me very young I have 10,000 lipsticks. [Colour] depends on my mood… On one hand I am this weird androgynous tomboy where I’m strangely low maintenance and have a five-minute make-up regimen.”

  1. Moroccanoil Solves Frizz

Rachel fights frizz with Moroccanoil: “The Spring and Summer months are truly a time to give your hair a rest from styling tools—step away from your blow dryer!—and excessive salon visits. I love to just shower, run a little bit of Moroccanoil through my hair and head out the door. It keeps frizz at bay and strengthens my hair at the same time.”

  1. She Loves Nars Makeup for a Glowing Look

Her favourite product to create a summer glow is by Nars: “For makeup I love my NARS multiple compact in Malibu. I’ve been using it for years – it’s perfect for achieving a subtle summer glow all year round.”

  1. Her Handbag Essentials Are Practical

She packs plenty of practical products in her handbag: “When it comes to the more practical carry-ables, I never leave without a travel size Honest Co. hand sanitizer, a pair of sunnies (either the Row, Illesteva or Thierry Lasry), Tatcha face blotters and my iPhone.”
