5 Celebrities Who Wear Budget-Friendly Pieces With Designer Items

A lot of celebrities may spend big bucks on designer fashion and aren’t usually seen without the latest Chanel or Balmain outfit fresh from the catwalk – but not all stars are label snobs and these 5 celebrities say they prefer to mix budget-friendly high street finds with designer pieces. Some say they only wear high fashion when they’re on the red carpet and have cheaper clothing when they’re not working. Others love to mix up their wardrobes, piecing together high street with high fashion.

  1. Emma Watson

Emma likes to wear designers for big events but is happy in high street when off-duty: “For a premiere, I’ll wear some forward-thinking, trend-setting designers like Balenciaga or the latest from Chanel. I’m also really into William Tempest. If I’m going casual, I’ll mix vintage with clothes from Topshop, Zara or Gap and I also love Agnes B. I’ll mix and match, which makes it financially accessible to everyone.”

  1. Jessica Alba

Jessica loves some high street pieces and has her favourite designers too: ”I like to mix high and low, like American Apparel with Ralph [Lauren]. There’s a pair of Rag & Bone with a little stretch that’s been my go-to for that tight, high waisted jam, but I still like a J Brand bell bottom – and I think Ralph makes the best denim jackets.”

  1. Mollie King

Mollie says she isn’t a label snob and is happy wearing cheaper designs too: ”I’m not the kind of girl who’ll only wear designer – I like to mix it up with high-street finds. I know my style and I can put an outfit together so I’d love to bring that out in a collection.”

  1. Selena Gomez

Selena is happy to buy from the sales rack: ”It is just kind of a mix. I have really great [designer] gifts from people, and my stylist will give me something cute. But other than that, it usually seems to be off the sales rack or just stuff that I enjoy.”

  1. Pixie Lott

Pixie likes vintage finds and mixing high street pieces: “I find some really cool, unique stuff in vintage shops. The good thing about vintage if that it doesn’t quite fit you can customise it, like, make it shorter. The shorter the better! And I’ve been wearing a lot of socks and stockings. It’s a bit school-girlie, which I like. I love chains and headbands, so I put lots of accessories with every outfit. And I like to mix designer pieces, high street and vintage.”
