Julianne Moore Felt “Very Lucky” to Wear Custom Givenchy Gowns

Julianne Moore has impressed with her elegant-meets-edgy red carpet style during the current awards season and is even nominated for an Oscar for her part in ‘Still Alice’. Opening up on the gorgeous Givenchy gown she wore to the Golden Globes recently, Julianne explains that the label’s head designer, Riccardo Tisci, decided to make her a completely custom gown for the event, creating a gradient silver to black textured dress. She loved the look so much that she decided she wanted another piece for the SAG Awards. Julianne explained:

”Riccardo [Tisci] of Givenchy was designing my Golden Globes gown. And he was nice enough to do something custom. And he sent all these beautiful sketches, and we loved them so much. And we saw this green one as well, and we asked if maybe he would make another one for the SAG Awards, and he did. So that’s how that came about. So I’m very, very lucky, to get to have worn two custom Givenchy gowns in a row.”

Commenting on her budget-friendly beauty secret, Julianne says she has to wear sunscreen and a face oil daily, and both keep her protected and moisturised all day long. She says she picks both up at a drugstore and the products don’t cost her much:

“Sunscreen every day, whatever I can get in a drugstore. I use a face oil, doesn’t matter what kind. First I put the face oil on, then I put the sunscreen on, and I don’t go into the sun. And honestly, that’s really it.”
