Richard Nicoll Comments on Dressing Anne Hathaway for the Red Carpet

Anne Hathaway recently impressed on the red carpet at the premiere of her new film ‘Instellar’ in Los Angeles, wowing in a navy slip-style silk dress taken from British designer Richard Nicoll’s new Spring/Summer collection. Richard has now commented on the gorgeous red carpet choice, stating that he thinks Anne looked “sensual and intelligent” in the outfit and he loved how she finished off the look with great accessories and a perfect beauty look. He commented on the memorable red carpet moment:

”Anne looks perfect in the dress. She paired the 90’s slip style with subtle and interesting jewellery with modern hair and makeup. She looks cool, refined and confident.”

After Anne’s stylist, Penny Lovell, saw Richard’s collection recently as part of London Fashion Week, she reached out to the designer and they decided to work together for Anne’s big premiere event. Richard explained that Penny loves British brands and has been very supportive of his work, so he was more than happy to lend the dress to Anne for the red carpet:

”Anne’s stylist, Penny Lovell has been a great supporter of the brand and reached out to us straight after the Spring Summer presentation. Penny has a great eye for directional red carpet looks and is a big supporter of LFW designers.”

Speaking on which celebrity he’d love to dress the most, Richard says Rooney Mara is on top of his personal list because she always looks so effortlessly styled whenever she steps on to the red carpet: ”Rooney Mara. Always impeccable, always effortless.”
