There's
a new fashion app for women that is changing the future of retail and how we
shop for clothes online. Called 'Spring', it already features around 700
designer labels such as Opening Ceremony, Proenza Schouler, Marchesa and
sunglasses brand Warby Parker. The app cuts out then need for the user to
download a separate app for each brand, combining them all into one simple app
that is easy to use, browse and shop with minimal fuss.
The
co-founder and chief marketing officer Ara Katz commented that the app is about
making the shopping experience as smooth and quick as possible, because having
to download multiple apps for each brand is not a positive shopping experience
for any user. She commented on the idea: "No one wants to download 50
different sites, and nobody wants to download 50 different apps. That's a bad
experience. On a browser, it's not so bad of an experience. But what was
waiting on mobile was multi-brand experiences."
Users
are able to follow brand feeds, 'love' products and save anything they want to
keep an eye on without having to purchase, they'll also easily be able to check
the latest sales. Credit card and shipping details are already pre-loaded in
the app, so all users have to do to make a purchase is swipe right on a product
they desire - it's really that easy and effortless. Thankfully, the right-swipe
feature has been built with extra resistance, so it's difficult to make an
accidental purchase - one less thing to worry about. The new app has launched
for android and is already available through the Apple store.
