American actress Cameron Diaz has penned her own wellbeing
book named simply ‘The Body Book’. Promoting the new book by sharing a
makeup-free photo while hugging her own copy, Cameron is setting out to promote
wellbeing when it comes to body image. The promotional blurb explains that
Cameron shares a look at how she stays healthy, fit and positive in her daily
life, all inspired by her own experiences: "Cameron
Diaz shares her formula for becoming happier, healthier, and stronger in this
positive, essential guide that is grounded in science and inspired by personal
experience."
Cameron jokes that she used to be very bad at looking after herself,
especially when it came to eating right: "If you are what you eat, I was a bean burrito with extra cheese
and extra sauce, no onions.” However, it appears she has swiftly turned things
around and has a new attitude towards her body. Cameron now stays fit by
regularly doing Pilates and she believes that people can always improve with age:
“My ass is definitely higher than it was
when I was 20, this is the thing that people don’t understand: Take care of
your body [and it will] get better! It gets better as I get older.”
Cameron adds that although
she used to love snacking on fried foods, she has changed her approach when it
comes to dining in order to treat her body right: “I used to eat fried
food from morning to night when I was in my 20s. But I have really had to make
some changes. I love fried chicken and french fries but I can’t do that
anymore. As I get older, I realized I was working a little bit harder at
digesting what I was eating, and I thought it is not fair to my body to keep
doing this. If you are giving it a bunch of crap all the time, it will break
down quicker and deteriorate quicker, so I stopped.”
Cameron’s ‘The Body Book’ is out now.
