Steps

  1. Secure the hair into a ponytail at the top of the crown.
  2. Braid up the length of the ponytail.
  3. At the end, fold over at the half way point and bend to the elastic. Secure.
  4. Place a band or ribbon at the base and tie at the back.
  5. Using tension, wrap the ribbon up the braid.
  6. At the top, tie in a knot to create a foundation.
  7. Attach a weft to the end of the foundation.
  8. Run a decorative ribbon over the foundation including the weft.
  9. Using a clipper, cut the weft as desired.
  10. For a second look, drape the weft over the top of the foundation and secure at the base as shown.
  11. Cover the face with a sheet or towel and design a fringe shape with a clipper.
  12. Apply a decorative knot at the base.
