Starring
alongside Leslie Mann and model Kate Upton in newly released film 'The Other
Woman', Cameron Diaz has spoken on her character's high maintenance beauty
look. Cameron says her role was the opposite of how she is in real life because
she rarely puts in much effort in to her hair and makeup. Cameron explains that
it was a fun part of the role because getting dressed up gave her the chance to
get in to character: "I wanted Carly's look to be really put
together, you know: she curls her hair, she gets her nails done, she puts her
make-up on, she puts her outfits together. That is not at all like me! I am not
that person on a daily basis, but that's the fun thing about creating
characters. You can really say a lot in the wardrobe, and with the hair and make-up.
You can tell a whole story with fashion."
The
actress also recently revealed that she hasn't worn antiperspirant deodorant in
about 20 years because she believes it is bad for your skin and even makes
smells worse. Cameron explained her theory: "I don't believe in
antiperspirant. It's really bad for you. I haven't used it for almost 20
years. You're stinky, because you use antiperspirant. It keeps all the stink
in." Cameron even thinks men should ditch antiperspirant and instead
should simply trim their armpit hair to remove smells: "Let it go and
just trim your armpit hair so it doesn't hold onto the scent."
