Cameron
Diaz is the current artistic director of shoe company Pour la Victoire,
recently completing her first campaign which she directed for the brand.
Steering the designs in the direction she believes will boost sales and take
the company to new levels of success, Cameron says she thinks the pieces now
have real meaning because they celebrate a person's individuality. She adds
that the company have a celebratory tone because they want to empower women to
do their best which is something she feels very passionate about and thinks
other women will find interesting: "My goal as artistic director is
that our brand doesn't presume to tell you who or what you should be, it is
meant to help you be who you are. We believe in celebrating victories, large or
small, from personal to professional to creative, and empowering women who are
fully engaged in their passions."
Cameron
worked alongside model Olya Zueva who appeared in the new campaign she
directed, saying that she selected Olya to star in the new film because she
believes she perfectly captures the spirit of what their designs are all about
because she is a modern women with her own individual style. Cameron gushes
that she is impressed with the kind of person Olya is: "Olya has been
an amazing partner in this endeavour - she is the embodiment of the spirit of
PLV. She is interested and interesting and she truly lives life with her
eyes wide open. She is modern, self-possessed and relatable, with an effortless
sense of personal style."
