The Golden
Globes 2014 took place during the weekend and as usual there were plenty of
amazing dresses, hair and makeup to analyse and drool over! Here is a look at 5
of the best beauty looks from the event – stars who really nailed it when it
came to creating beautiful hairstyles and flattering makeup.
1. Emma Watson
‘Harry
Potter’ actress Emma Watson is all grown up and her elegant sense of style is
no more evident than on the red carpet. She opted for a tasteful, modern beauty
look including a deep pink lip, subtle black smoky eyes with lashings of
mascara and a very simple side-parted hairdo which looked refined and
flattering. Emma created a winner with this subtle yet stylish hair and makeup
combo.
2. Jennifer Lawrence
All eyes are
on Jennifer Lawrence this awards season – with access to a wardrobe filled with
Dior, the actress is always once of the best dressed and she doesn’t let things
slip in the beauty department either. For this year’s Golden Globes, Jennifer
opted for dark cherry lipstick, smouldering dark eye makeup and she styled her
pixie cropped hair in to a simple side-swept hairdo.
3. Margot Robbie
Australian
actress Margot Robbie cracked the big time in her ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’
role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and it looks like she was on to another
success as she walked the Golden Globes red carpet. Opting to highlight her
glowing complexion, Margot went for a natural, nude look. Adding peachy blush
on the apples of her cheeks, she topped off her makeup with a nude lipstick,
mascara and flawless foundation. She wore her hair in a relaxed side-parted
style.
4. Taylor Swift
She may not
have been picking up any awards this time around, but musician Taylor Swift
brought her usual flawless taste to this year’s Golden Globes. Channeling a
vintage style, Taylor wore her hair in tight curls. Adding red glossy lips,
porclain skin and black mascara, Taylor’s retro look is well played.
5. Zooey Deschanel
Quirky ‘New Girl’
star Zooey Deschanel knows how to grab attention for her personal style. The
actress paired a pretty ruby red lip with a fresh-faced complexion, dark
mascara and a pretty up-do hairstyle which she completed with a white floral
clip and vintage looking earrings.
