Oils
have been in the spotlight for a while now in the beauty world - with many
celebrities, models and beauty experts recommending different oil-based
treatments for skin, hair and more. Packed full of nourishing ingredients and a
rich way to hydrate skin or hair, oils provide a natural solution for those
wanting to go organic with their skincare. There are many ways in which oils of
any kind can be worked into beauty regimes - here are just a few ideas.
Try
a hair mask. Mix up an oil (even olive oil works for this) with lemon juice or
even work it in by itself, massaging it into dry areas and allow it to soak in
for a few minutes. Wash it off thoroughly with your regular shampoo, and you'll
instantly notice how soft and sleek your hair feels - it's as quick and simple
as that.
Try
oil-based beauty products. Oil cleansers have become very popular and are great
for removing makeup in a gentle way. You can also add a drop of your favourite
oil to your current moisturiser to give it an extra boost. Oils such as Rose Hip
can work directly on the skin but can be heavy for daily use, so stick to using
this as a treatment on a weekly basis instead. Why not try slicking on
some oil before a shower, allowing it to moisturise your skin deeply? Or even
making a homemade scrub? Another increasing health trend is oil-pulling, which
means swishing oil around in your mouth to improve oral health, as the oil is
said to absorb toxins and bacteria in the mouth.
There are
many products that now include oils that take away the fuss of adding oils
yourself, so check your shelves and opt to go as natural as possible.
