Mother
daughter duo Sharon and Kelly Osbourne recently launched their makeup line in
collaboration with MAC. Sharon has joked that she may not have always been an
expert on the subject because she has made many beauty mistakes in the past,
including over-plucking her eyebrows. She joked: ''Plucking eyebrows for
everyone has to be the worst thing and it's so marvellous that mine are so
heavily documented.'' Sharon also laughs about some of the funny titles
they've given their new products. She says she is surprised some of them were
approved by MAC's legal team: ''I can't believe Cheeky Bu**er and
Dodgy Girl got through. We had to come up with 50 names, then it goes through
legal.''
Opening
up on the experience of creating the various colours for the collection, Kelly
explained that at the MAC Pro studio in New York City, they both had plenty of
fun experimenting with the different shades and creating unique
combinations: ''They have these huge glass pots with every pigment which
are so fun to play with. I realised there were certain textures I wanted
for a satin finish, a glossy feel but not too glossy. It was
really fun to experiment with.'' Sharon adds that because
they're both known for their vibrant hair colours, they wanted to include
similar bold shades in their makeup line: "For people it's about the
hair. Our hair colour is so vibrant, it's always about the hair with us, my
hair was my inspiration, which means I was my inspiration as narcissistic as
that sounds, but I did really have to stop and think you know, this isn't just
for me, I want the colours to work on every skin tone. It was just so much fun
to do."
