With so many amazing designer collabortions hitting the
rails at lower than ever price points, we have been spoilt for choice this year
with an amazing clothing selection - Isabel Marant for H&M, Prabal Gurung
for Target – and now L’Wren Scott has just launched her own collaboration with
Banana Republic which has already landed in stores. Scott has now opened up on
the design process and what it was like to lend her name to the high street
store. Scott commented that she felt that she found a good match with the
company because they shared the same vision: “A
partnership of this scale was a first for me, and I was very excited to find a
true partner in Banana Republic. Through this collection, we were able to bring our
shared vision to life and the end result is a capsule we're both so proud to
call our own.'
Scott herself appears in the
new campaign, surrounded by models outfitted in her newly designed pieces. Revealing
what it was like to be photographed surround by her own collection, she said:
“It was very fun being in the campaign. It was a representation of how happy
and fun holiday parties are with friends. I felt comfortable shooting with
Carter Smith while being amongst other friends having a good time you didn't
even notice the camera. Of course as long as i never have to look at myself in
the picture afterwards.”
Revealing why she felt Banana
Republic was a good match for her label, Scott said that she feels they are
very reliable: “It's a trusted brand you can rely on. I decided to
partner with Banana Republic because they could deliver the quality to my
customers that they love and I am excited to have a new audience.”
