Gwyneth Paltrow’s Old Hollywood Beauty Secret & Budget-Friendly Fitness Ideas

Always with plenty to say on the topic of beauty, actress Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken further on how she looks after herself. She reveals that she often unwinds at the end of a long day by adding Epsom salt to her bath. She also loves to massage organic oils in to her body to soothe aches and reveals her trick to making her skin look more alert. Gwyneth opened up on her secrets:  "I take an Epsom salt bath every night to wind down, and I use a lot of organic essential oils on my pressure points. If I'm really tired and puffy, I dip my face in a bucket of ice water to get the blood flowing to my skin. It's an old movie star trick my mom taught me that's natural and easy."

She may be known for pushing expensive beauty products and treatments via her Goop website but Gwyneth says that those on a budget can also be conscious about the ingredients in their cosmetics products: "Beauty is an area where it tends to be slightly more expensive. I think that you should do research on what you're putting onto your skin. You often get what you pay for. You're better off rubbing some organic coconut oil on your face than wasting your money on cheap, ineffective products."

Speaking on a budget-friendly fitness regime, Gwyneth believes it's still easy to stay in shape without splashing out on expensive equipment or a personal trainer:  "I think that in terms of exercise, it's really important for both your appearance and health to exercise — it makes the biggest difference. If you're on a budget, you can get a yoga DVD, go for a walk, get your heart rate up by running or dancing with a friend. It's a hugely important part of staying young."
