Fresh minimal-looking makeup is a huge beauty trend on the catwalks
and red carpet currently - it's supposed to appear as though no makeup is even
being worn on the skin, but this does require a little effort to get right -
here's how to give it a go. Start with a good moisturiser all over - the aim is
to create dewy and very natural looking skin. The best tip is to dampen a
sponge applicator, squeeze out as much water as possible and then apply a
subtle light foundation layer - the damp sponge will help give it a fresh, dewy
look and the skin will still appear natural but with some coverage. If your
foundation lacks that dewy finish, spritz on a face mist afterwards.
This look is all about subtle colour, and finding a good blush
and lipstick in neutral rosy shades is the key to adding warmth to your face,
and make your complexion look glowing. Sweep a highlighting blush across your
cheeks, making sure the colour looks subtle but creates a touch of colour. Add
a lip shade in a neutral pink. Groomed eyebrows will help pull this look
together, use an eyebrow pencil in a colour close to your natural shade to add
some structure, use a brow spool to comb through and some brow gel to set the
look.
Just because the look is about appearing natural, doesn't mean
you have to ignore your eyes. A brown or clear mascara can lengthen and give
volume to your lashes, and you can use a nude eyeliner to make your eyes stand
out.
