Dulce De Leche
This caramel sauce originates in South America and its
name means ‘candy of milk’. It’s often served with churros

Ingredient

½ quantity (1¹⁄³cups) Homemade sweetened condensed milk
·
40g butter, chopped
·
¼ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
Recipe
1. Place condensed
milk, butter and sugar in a small heavy-based saucepan over medium heat. Whisk
constantly for 6 to 8 minutes or until mixture thickens and darkens slightly.
Remove from heat. Cool.
2. Store in an
airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
