Diane
Kruger has not only risen to Hollywood stardom, but has also become known for
her original and directional sense of style both on and off the red carpet. The
actress believes that most women dress to impress other women: "I think
most women dress for other women. It's easy to please a man, the shorter the
skirt and the sexier the dress, they will most likely approve of your
outfit."
Diane
recently partnered with German online boutique MyTheresa and comments that she
loves the online store because she often does most of her shopping via the
internet, while she also loves shopping in Los Angeles for casual pieces: “I
really like the site. And it’s German, which I didn’t know for a long time, but
now that I know, it makes it even better. I shop for most of my clothes online.
Especially now. I find a lot of T-shirts and jeans here [in L.A.], but not that
much stuff that’s curated and different.”
The
actress is currently working on 'The Bridge' tv series and she says often the
unique wardrobe of a character helps her figure out how to best approach a
role. She said on the subject: “As an actor, when you look for a character,
there is usually one thing which brings it all together. It’s not always
wardrobe, but it is something. My character has Aspergers, but it’s never
mentioned, so I wanted her to be different from the minute you see her. And you
never see a cop wearing a horse jacket. I thought it was a great link to her
past, which we learn more about as the show goes on.”
