Head designer at Italian fashion house Emilio Pucci, Peter
Dundas, has designed a new charity t-shirt in collaboration with Saks to raise
funds for ‘Key to the Cure’ cancer charity. The new t-shirt, which is modelled
by actress Jennifer Aniston, features a tattoo inspired print in a heart shape
with a pink crown printed in the middle, placed on a classic figure-hugging
white t-shirt. Commenting on the new design, Peter says that it is an important
cause to raise funds for and he was happy to take part in the collaboration
with the department store because they’ve always supported his work: “It’s a T shirt that benefits cancer research,
particularly breast cancer. It’s very much something I think is important to be
aware of; I’m glad to do this with Saks. They’ve been amazing supporters of the
brand and huge cheerleaders since I started at Pucci. It was an added pleasure
to do this project with them.”
Peter even offers his own
opinion on what the t-shirt would look best with. He advises to pair the piece
with basic skinny jeans or even try teaming it with a tuxedo jacket. He also
encourages those who buy it to feel free to give the t-shirt their own personal
makeover: “Wear it with a pair of jeans or under a tuxedo jacket. Maybe cut
off the sleeves and make it your own, or over dye it. I always think of my
dresses as T shirts anyways, because I like the freedom of them. They are a
part of any staple wardrobe”.
