Sharon
Stone is auctioning off some of her most memorable clothing items from her
career to raise money for charity. Putting the items under the hammer via
Sharity.com, Sharon wants to give proceeds to help promote peace around the
world through the charity Yala, an organization created around Facebook.
Opening up on her chosen cause, Sharon explained that she thinks it's amazing
how they're spreading real information about causes: ''The kids are really
standing up for peace and they're communicating with each other. They're
erasing that sense of fear that comes from not knowing.''
One
of the items up for grabs is a stunning Roberto Cavalli coat which the actress
wore in 'Basic Instinct 2' and Sharon admits it will be hard to say goodbye to
the item because she thinks it's just amazing and she reveals that it was
already a vintage item when the costume designer on the film found it for the
role: ''That thing is so gorgeous, I can't even stand it. It was already a
vintage jacket when our costume designer found it. The belt is perfect.''
Sharon
will also be parting ways with another Cavalli piece, a long silk white dress
which features a flowing train. She jokes that although it's not very
practical, she has even worn it at home and has two other similar designs
because she loves them so much: ''But I can say I wore it at my house a
million times. I have two more of them. I just couldn't let go of all of them.
I love throwing one on because it's super-glamorous but it's like a great big
bag. You can throw it on with some jewellery and run around in bare feet.''
