Lingerie
label Agent Provocateur have just unveiled their stunning new Spring 2014
campaign images captured by famed American photographer Miles Aldridge. Set
around a blissful-looking pink-tinged household, model Hailey Clauson plays the
role of a lingerie-clad housewife as she hangs out in the dreamy-looking and
even doll-like kitchen.
Keeping
with his usual style, Aldridge fused fantasy with a retro-inspired glamour, and
this campaign perfectly displays his original aesthetic. Commenting on working
for the label, he said on his source of inspiration: “Shooting with Agent
Provocateur was like a childhood dream come true where I drop by unannounced on
a school friend to find his mother home hovering in the kitchen in just her
lingerie. These sensations from early adolescence run through all my work, like
the pink sugar writing inside a piece of well sucked Brighton rock, except the
endless word in my rock is woman, woman, woman, woman, woman.”
Creative
director Sarah Shotten also spoke on 18-year-old American model Hailey Clauson,
who takes on the role of their version of a domestic goddess. Sarah says that
the model is a flawless choice for the role because she has the look of an
amazing all-round individual which was the message they were toying with in the
fun new campaign images.
She
said that she was "interested in the irony behind the idea of the
‘Perfect’ woman, unfazed by the everyday pressures of life. Our campaign girl
has it all, she’s a lady in the street and a wildcat in the bedroom and the
collection mirrors her pretty perfection."
