British
heritage label Mulberry are hoping to bring their leather products to a new
customer by offering a loser priced line of classic leather bags. Unveiling a
new collection named 'Tessie', the pieces are very simple, timeless and
available in easy to wear colours. Offering clutch, tote, shoulder bag and hobo
styles, the new designs are finished with polished metal hardware and are
inspired by the designs the label first created back in the 70s when it first
grew in popularity. Ranging in price from £495 to £695, the designs are
their most affordable creations yet.
Opening
up on the idea behind the lower priced items, a representative for the brand
commented that the label wanted to design items that are practical to people in
their everyday lives, proving them with a stylish solution for whatever they're
doing: "The Tessie collection was inspired by the effortless
practicality of our early collections, when each new bag was created with a use
in mind. We think the styles are both classic and practical, each finished with
belt buckle and strap detailing that references our early design
signatures."
As
well as the new Tessie collection, the Mulberry brand continue to collaborate
with a range of famous faces. They most recently worked alongside British model
of the moment Cara Delevingne, who put her own spin on several creations that
she designed as part of a special collection. Cara created a selection of
camouflage and quilted backpacks, as well as more leather goods as part of her
own line.
