Find Out The Reasons Why
Babies Cry (Part 2)
“I’m
sad”
Sometimes babies cry out loud for none of
the reason above, they simply feel lonely and want to be carried or help. In
that case, you should hold, comfort and play with them to make them feel happy and
warm, which is very good for baby’s development.
The
cry of babies can help moms know that they don’t feel well and need taking to a
doctor.
If moms still don’t know the reason of
baby’s cry, it could be pathological cry. The cry varies from disease to
disease.
Inflammatory bowel, digestive problem,
parasites (microfilaria) will make babies to cry; the cry is not fast or slow
but steady. When observing, moms will recognize the pale, sweaty face of
babies. They can also vomit and have diarrhea so don’t touch their belly or
they will cry louder. If babies cry before sleeping, it’ may due to the fact
that the threadworm comes out and cause itches, discomfort to them.

observing, moms will recognize the pale, sweaty face of babies.
Stuffy nose, headache, flu: Babies will cry
at a normal tone but nonstop. The cry will be different as the voice of babies
turn hoarse, cry continuously, especially at night, following by shortness of
breath, fever, skipping meal. In the situation, babies have much chance of
acute tonsillitis. If babies, after stopping crying, start wheezing, they can
have pneumonia. If babies have severe pneumonia that leads to heart failure,
and their cry is weak blended with intermittent moans, moms should take them to
the hospital as soon as possible. At the same time, moms should also closely
monitor other expressions of babies.
Otitis
If babies keep crying, followed by fever,
shaking their head, rubbing their ears and cry when you put pressure on their
ears, they may have otitis.
Lacking
calcium, early-stage rickets
Babies will cry all days, get scared and
sweat a lot.
If babies keep crying from time to time,
vomit and have blood in stool, they can have intussusception. If
the cry is different from the normal one happening when babies urinate, babies
can have urinary tract infection. If babies find it difficult to defecate and
have hard stool, they can have constipation.
Stomatitis and gingival- mucosa swelling
will make babies cry when sucking and make them stop sucking. If babies have
brain or meningitis diseases, babies can cry continuously (they may stop
sometimes but still get back on crying) and vomit.
Babies cry at night because of peristalsis increase
To some infants, it may due to the weak
environment adaption that they cry at night. They’re obedient at daytime but
cry at night. The situation lasts 2-3 months after birth and fades away as
babies grow up.
Babies
can cry in 15 to 20 minutes or an hour.
The reasons of the phenomenon are up to the
peristalsis increase. Normally, the peristalsis doesn’t cause pain to babies
but if there’re some unidentified medical elements suddenly appear, increase
and make peristalsis discontinuously, the suddenly changes can cause severe
stomachache to babies and make babies cry till the pains have gone. The cry of
babies in this case can make parents mistaken that it belongs to calcium
deficiency. Babies can cry in 15 to 20 minutes or an hour. As long as they cry,
their stomachs are getting hard, which dues to flatulence.
If there’s no sign of diseases or
physiological factors, you should think about persistent cry. Though it’s not
dangerous, persistent cry can make babies exhausted and parents under
pressure. Therefore, if babies cry persistently, moms can carry them in a
position that make them comfortable the most, feel warm and safe. You can place
baby’s belly on yours and let your warmth comfort them or fold them with a
blanket, massage their hands or listen to soothing music, which make both
mother and baby feel relaxed.

Coping with a little angel that is crying
always makes moms confused and worried. Nonetheless, since mom’s mood can
directly affect baby’s, moms should be calm figuring out the reason of the cry
and find sensible solutions. Remember that despite the reasons of the cry, moms
should quickly stop the cry as it can make babies tired. Crying for too long
can help the air go to intestinal tract and stomach, which is able to cause
abdominal aneurysm to babies and long-term effects on their psychological
state.
