Ukrainian-Canadian
model Daria Werbowy has spoken on her career, fame and age. The model has
graced countless magazine covers and fronted several high profile campaigns,
including recent advertisements for Mango, but says she isn't interested in
raising her profile like other models in a bid to make her name more known. She
admits that while the idea of fame is interesting, she also doesn't want to
live her life too publicly and thinks being in the spotlight too often would
just make her feel "insecure". She opened up on the idea: ''I
find it interesting that people know who I am. It's also fascinating to see how
much effect you can have on people. Of course, it can affect me, make me feel
insecure and wonder what I should and shouldn't do. I don't think I would ever
want an extremely public life. I feel that would be very difficult. I'm pretty
under the radar. I don't really deal with a lot of fame in the 'pop culture'
way.''
Daria
recently celebrated her 30th birthday but she says that not much has changed in
her life after the milestone occasion. She does feel more relaxed and says that
she doesn't feel as much pressure on herself now that she’s older. However, she
still feels very youthful: ''I don't feel very different. I feel more
relaxed, I don't feel as pressured as I used to. Hopefully, I'm wiser. I don't
feel old, though. When I hang out with my 14-year-old cousin, I don't really
feel the age difference.''
