Model-turned-lingerie
designer Elle MacPherson has spoken on designing for her underwear collections,
specifically for a new collection that she has just launched because she
believes her latest bra design is innovative. Elle explains that the new design
has the ability to change shape to suit the wearer's figure so it highlights a
person's figure every time. She adds that it is just as comfortable to wear as
any of her other bra designs and is still just as feminine as before: ''I
realised that silhouette is very important and I don't know any brands that
focus on silhouette. So I said I actually want to create a performance bra that
can change the shape of your body when you put it on according to
what you feel like or your body type. It's a new concept in bra design,
still with that really comfortable fit and still really pretty and feminine and
a lot of colour.''
The
model adds that when it comes to selecting her own lingerie, she loves to
colour coordinate her outfit to her underwear and has her own method of
coordination that she sticks to: ''I always choose lingerie according to
what I'm wearing. So if I'm wearing jeans, I find a bra that's blue like jeans.
I like to match the inside and the outside.''
Speaking
on her favourite red carpet outfit ever, Elle reveals she once wore flip flops
with a dress but loved how it turned out: ''My favourite red carpet moment
is the acid-green, strapless luminescent dress with flip flops that I wore to a
Met Gala. And the tan. It was great.''
