Australian
actress Mia Wasikowska has been known for her own original sense of style
both on and off the red carpet. The former Miu Miu face has opened up on her
fashion preferences, revealing she can be a "control freak" when it
comes to events and she prefers classic looking pieces. She explained: ''I
like fairly classical cuts and styles...I really like Miu Miu, Rodarte and
Roland Mouret. I probably dress completely differently in my everyday life
but I have fun dressing up for a couple of days a year. [I'm
a] comfort freak. I really like things that are
comfortable.'' Mia prefers to stay comfortable when she isn't working and
so doesn't understand how some people can handle dressing up for no
reason: ''You see so many people getting off planes in fancy clothing and
I don't know how they have the discipline to do that.''
The
actress comments that she loves dressing up in costume when working because it
helps her get in to character and she often gets to help pick her own on-screen
looks by working with the team: "It's my favourite part almost
because that's the final piece of the puzzle. The costume is so fun because
it's so much a part of your character but you don't directly do it, like, you
know, the designers pick stuff out and then it's like a fun collaboration
between you and the designer - and the director - to decide what they'd wear,
and how they would appear and it's fun, I love it."
