Kristin
Cavallari, who is now a mother of two, has defended post-baby style, commenting
that she believes new moms don't have to sacrifice their fashion sense just
because they have a child. She says her own wardrobe hasn't changed much,
except for a few changes to make things more practical because she isn't
comfortable carrying her kids in heels. She explained: "It's pretty
much the same. I don't think that just because you're a mom you have to
sacrifice fashion. With that being said, I definitely wear a lot more flats
than I used to. It's too difficult carrying babies in heels. It makes me
nervous!"
Kristin
recently collaborated with footwear company Chinese Laundry to design a
selection of shoes and she reveals that her favourite item is a design named
'The Copertina' which she believes are timeless and easy to wear, even to the
office. She also thinks it's important for every girl to have a pair of
trustworthy flats to wear daily: "I wanted a couple of great staple
shoes that would carry throughout all of the collections. The Copertina is a
classic that will never go out of style, and I do it in different colours for
each season. Every girl needs a heel that can be worn to work, then out to
dinner or drinks the same night. It was also important for me to have a cute
flat since becoming a mom has changed my everyday shoe from heels and wedges to
more flats."
Speaking
on dressing her two sons, Kristin says they often opt for sportswear, inspired
by her husband's NFL career: "Since I'm married to an NFL player, our
boys live in Nike! The teeny-tiny ones are absolutely adorable. I have a couple
of little boat shoes for the boys that I love as well."
