Blake
Lively is following in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow by launching her own
online lifestyle destination, which will include fashion, food and more - and
will even sell specially crafted products and designs exclusively selected by
the actress. Named 'Preserve', a statement about the new website revealed that
Blake will be quite involved with the website and will appear in their videos
frequently: ''Preserve will focus on artisans and products, many hand-made
one-of-a-kind items all selected by Blake. Items will be available for purchase
through the site. Preserve is all about story-telling through video. Blake will
be in some of these videos.''
Blake
previously commented on what she hopes to achieve with her new fashionable
website, stating that she wants to branch out from her career as an actress
because she has so many other passions: ''The main element of it is that it's
about storytelling, and it's about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life,
and how to achieve that. I have so many passions outside of acting and things
that I grew up being good at and that I don't utilise when acting. Acting was
something that my family did so I just kind of got into it by default, but
there was so much that I cultivated, thinking that I wouldn't be an actor.''
She
also hinted that the website will have a food section as it is another big
personal interest and she's very passionate about the topic: ''It will be a
site. But not necessarily lifestyle. You cannot be around me without talking
about food.''
