'Noah'
actress Emma Watson says she turns to friends when it comes to styling advice.
She especially likes to call up her male friends and show them photos of
potential red carpet ensembles to see what they think. She explained that she
enjoys getting their styling ideas: ''I love showing them images and
asking, 'What do you think of this dress?' I call on my boyfriends for advice
all the time. I mean friends who are boys, and my girlfriends.''
Emma
adds that she believes fashion can often show or create an unobtainable look
for young women, especially because of airbrushing and Photoshop. She reveals
that it used to annoy her but she has since accepted that it's just the way
magazines operate. However, she thinks it can be dangerous for young people to
be exposed to an idea of perfection that isn't even possible for them to
achieve: ''I can take criticism on the chin a lot more. As a younger
woman, that pressure got me down, but I've made my peace with it.
With airbrushing and digital manipulation, fashion can
project an unobtainable image that's dangerously unhealthy. ''
The
former 'Harry Potter' star comments that she loves to cook and it is something
she does to relax, while she also enjoys a meal cooked at home after spending
time on the road: ''Raspberry and amaretto cake is my favourite, but I also
like banana choc-chip bread and egg tortilla. Cooking helps me to relax,
and I think people close to you appreciate a home-cooked meal.''
