'Sex
and the City' actress Sarah Jessica Parker is on a roll. She recently launched
her debut footwear line and now she's working on another new fashion project.
Sarah has teamed up with online jewellery store WeTheAdorned to exclusively
curate a collection of designs. One of her chosen designs will go on sale via
the members only website each week. Speaking on the new project, the husband
and wife team behind the company - Tim McElwee and Cyia Batten - have
gushed about Sarah, stating that she is a wonderful person to work with. Tim
commented: "She's lovely. Super kind, super gracious. Very
intelligent, very thoughtful."
Tim
added that they proposed the project to the actress to help the designers, who
will submit their work to her and she will be able to select her favorites to
go on sale via the site. He explained how he approached her about the
idea: "When we came to [Sarah Jessica] with this we said, 'Look,
every single one of these designers is having the same problem. The business
has changed so dramatically, and it's not going to change."
Cyia
stated that she loves watching Sarah at work because she selects pieces with
care and always has a great reason for doing so which she thinks is
valuable: “It’s interesting to watch her work because when she chooses a
piece, she knows exactly why. Sometimes the obvious things you think she’ll
love aren’t the ones she’ll pick up."
The
first design will launch this spring and will be available in limited numbers
only.
