German
model Heidi Klum has admitted that she "hoards" shoes and has a huge
collection of about 2,000 pairs. She confesses that the huge collection is
"embarrassing" and "sounds horrible", but she says she
never throws away any of her pieces and hangs on to everything over the
years: ''It's embarrassing, [I] probably [own] 2,000. Does that sound
horrible? You know what it is - I'm a hoarder, and I just hoard and hoard and
hoard.''
Heidi
says that over the span of her career she has kept every designer item she's
ever bought and now she has packed away some of her older items in a safe place
to be passed along to her two young daughters, Leni and Lou, when they're
older. She says that during her vast career she had the chance to pick up some
amazing designer garments and her lucky kids will inherit them: ''Being in
this industry for over 20 years, I've collected so many pieces from designers,
and handbags and shoes, and what not. And I have two! So everything is nicely
organized with a photo in the basement for them. Hopefully, they have
my shoe size. I have an 11.''
The
top model and 'America's Got Talent' judge says that she has always preferred
to model lingerie because there are less things to worry about and you don't
need to think about your outfit while striking a pose: ''I always love to
model in lingerie. Because you don't have to worry about the
outfit so much. It's much easier that way.''
