British
model Kate Moss has revealed that her daughter Lila Grace is her biggest style
critic. The model says she often turns to her for style advice and she trusts
what her daughter thinks: “My daughter, Lila, is my style critic. She’ll
say, ‘No, Mummy, you can’t wear that.’ She’s very good. I do trust her
instinct.” Speaking on turning 40, Kate says she now has more confidence
in herself and is happier to say "no" to things when she isn't
comfortable, while she also has more confidence in herself: “Having the
confidence to say no to things that I don’t feel comfortable with. I definitely
feel more comfortable in my own skin since turning 40.”
Opening
up on her famous sense of style, Kate says she loves to turn to vintage 70s
fashion icons to get her inspiration and has a few who she regularly looks to
when getting dressed: “I didn’t really have a mentor, but I have always
definitely been inspired by the ’70s—the Stones, Patti Smith, Anita
Pallenberg…” Kate is about to launch her latest fashion collection in
collaboration with Topshop and the model says she is looking forward to seeing
her designs on other people because it is always a very proud moment for
her: "I love seeing other people wearing the clothes! I remember
seeing a gorgeous girl wearing one of the floral tea dresses from the first
collection - she looked great. I was so excited that I called her over and we
had a picture taken together."
