British
model Kelly Brook, who now lives in Los Angeles, says she is very inspired by
Californian fashion. Commenting on how her taste has evolved over the years,
Kelly says she now prefers more subdued colours and is currently falling in
love with an unfussy 70s inspired look. She commented: "My style has
changed over the years but what I wear changes depending on my mood and
location. When I was younger I would wear a lot of bright colours, but not so
much now. I'm loving California fashion. It's all very 1970s hippie chic,
flower crowns and kimonos."
Kelly
recently designed a new Spring Summer 2015 collection for Simply Be, and
explains that she found inspiration from a vintage look, this time turning to
the 60s and opting for quirky prints in wearable styles. She especially wanted
to design some floral pieces for the line and thinks they look effortless: ''I
love the flower dresses. I wanted to create a classic shape and the 1960s
prints make it so summery. For me, I'd just wear some fabulous heels and my
hair in a ponytail. The dress does all the work!''
The
model-turned-designer also kept in mind her own curves when designing and hopes
to help women find what suits them with her new creations: "I know how
tricky it can be to find fashionable clothes for women with curves. But, by
taking inspiration from my favourite designers and the styles I love to wear,
I've created a sexy, confident collection that I just know you'll love."
