Currently
pregnant actress Olivia Wilde has spoken on her sense of style. Due to give
birth to her first child very soon, Olivia says that her everyday sense of
style is relaxed and "never uncomfortable". While she admires stars
who get dressed up even casually such as Eva Longoria, she doesn't know how
they can put themselves through the pain of wearing heels on a daily basis and
she likes to look more natural and even messy: "Eva Longoria always
looks so put-together and goddamned adorable. But I can’t imagine walking
everywhere in those heels. She goes to the Laundromat with them on! I just
don’t have it in me. My style is never uncomfortable… it’s part of my nature to
look a little messy."
Olivia
says that she initially thought about dressing to hide her growing bump but
felt more womanly showing it off and thinks it looks great. She adds that being
pregnant also connects you to other women in a new way because they all want to
help and support you: “I just thought, Oh I’m going to hide this forever.
But I ended up getting kind of excited to show the bump, as a badge of pride.
Like, 'I’m a woman! Look at me making a human! I am a goddess!' Pregnancy does
shed away all of the bullshit. It gives you more empathy because you look at
everyone and you think, ‘You were a baby!’ Pregnancy brings you into this sort
of commune—you feel connected to women in a way that you never have.”
