Messy
hair was spotted all over the Autumn/Winter 2014 catwalks with dishevelled
locks showing up at shows in New York, London and Milan so far. Thankfully,
this hair trend is an easy to wear hair trend that can look great both casually
or for a night out. While some designers emphasized the beauty look by showing
extremely messy hair - make it wearable for day by simply toning it down. The
messy bun was seen at the Missoni show for the upcoming season - to channel the
look tie a loose bun on the top of your head and gently pull some strands loose
to create a messy look, allow large sections to drape down and don't worry
about how dishevelled the bun itself is - the less precise, the closer to you
are to creating a great messy bun.
At
Simone Rocha, the new season ensembles were presented with messy and whispy
looking hair. Although similar to the hair seen at Missoni, the hair was even
more roughly created - to make your hair appear even messier, try back-combing
a few strands here and there. The hair at Ermanno Scervino looked wind-swept as
some of each model's hair looked static in front of their faces. To try this
out, brush some long strands from the side of your head, sweeping over your
forehead and hold the look with some hairspray (don't forget to close your eyes
first!). For an evening look, why not try out a slightly messy bun or relaxed
loose plait - just tug some strands free from your braid.
