The perfect pre- workout breakfast
Berry yogurt smoothie
Serves 2
It is perfect because … light, easily digestible and a good
source of protein (from the yogurt), smoothies are the perfect first- thing
fuel if you are heading off to the gym. Blueberries’ antioxidant quota puts
them in the top superfood spot.

60g blackberries
·
150g blueberries
·
A70g 0% fat Greek yogurt
·
8g flax seed
·
100ml apple juice
Calories 112, Fat 2g, Protein 11g, Fibre

- Put all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until the
berries are copped up and well combined
- Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, then divide between
two glasses.
Power smoothie … if you want dairy- free
Serves 2
It is perfect because .. you can skip the dairy butt add
essential protein with a scoop of protein powder and some ground almonds. Pineapple
juice is rich in serotonin, a guaranteed mood- booster, so you will get your
day off to a great start.

200g raspberries

250ml pineapple juice
·
30g ground almonds
·
1 tsbp protein powder
·
2tbsp wheat germ
Calories 250, Fat 10.5g, Protein 15.5g,

- Put all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until the
raspberries are chopped up and the smoothie is well combined
- Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, then divide between
two glasses.
