American
model Lindsay Ellingson recently married boyfriend Sean Clayton in a stunning
South Carolina setting. Now, the model has opened up on her chosen wedding
dress which was designed by Sophie Thealett. She explained that Sophie has
always been her favourite designer and she always feels comfortable in her
pieces whenever she wears them: "I’m from California so I’m very laidback
and no matter if I’m on the red carpet or on the street, I always try to have
an element of comfort to what I'm wearing. Sophie Thealett is the first person
I call because she knows what suits me and really understands a woman’s body.
There’s an element of ease but her designs are also sexy, which is very
me."
Speaking
on what she wanted ideally for the big day, Lindsay said she asked for just a
simple silk dress which was just quite minimal and elegant: 'I didn't want
anything poufy. It's matte silk and straight down so nothing crazy. I’m not one
of those girls who say "I want to be a princess for the day, with all the
attention on me". I just want to be comfortable, especially because July
in South Carolina means it'll be pretty hot!'
The
model also had a special bracelet created for the wedding which was also quite
minimal in design but she wanted a special piece to commemorate the day: 'I
want to have a bracelet made so I can have it forever. It will be very minimal
because I already have my engagement ring. I don’t want anything on my neck
because I think less is more when it comes to your wedding day.'
