Charlize
Theron appears alongside 'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane in newly released
comedy adventure film 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'. The Oscar-winning
actress opened up on her sense of style in a new interview, revealing that
while she likes to stick to the simple basics when she isn't working, she does
enjoy that princess moment when she gets to dress up for the red carpet and
transform in to a movie star. She said that it has a magical
quality: "I'm definitely more of a jeans and T-shirt girl, but
there's something princessy about getting dressed up for these events."
Charlize
has been known to transform in to an array of unique characters - from her
Oscar-winning role as a serial killer in 'Monster' where she pushed her body to
physically change, to other parts which included lavish costumes as part of her
role - the actress says that clothing plays an important part when it comes to
getting in to character. She explained: "There's definitely something
informative about getting into costume that helps, for sure."
Speaking
on the Western inspired clothing she wore for the new film, Charlize reveals
that each item was actually aged to look exactly authentic by the costume
designer and it was designed to perfectly fit the era in which the film is set:
"One of my best friends [Cindy Evans] actually did the costume
design on this movie, and built everything from scratch. Every outfit was
especially designed and aged for the period - Cindy gets her inspiration from
everywhere, she's pretty amazing."
