Growing up in a lack-of-love family or an
environment that rarely provides maternal love can make children shorter than
the same age.
We all know that the diet, exercise and
sleep will affect directly to children’s height. In fact, growing up in a
lack-of-love family or an environment that rarely provides maternal love can
also make children shorter than the same age. This is the result of Zhongda
Hosital’s research – a hospital belongs to Southeast University, China.
That parents have lots of fights can lead to slow growths
of children.
Researchers have found out that children
who were lack of love from parents, especially mother’s care receive bad
effects on their height. Families that often fought made children suffer from
the sound of the fights, which lead to a result that those children are a few
centimeters shorter than the normal ones.
Researchers
have found out that children who were lack of love from parents, especially
mother’s care receive bad effects on their height.
Lacking maternal love can affect children’s height
According to researchers, lacking maternal
love not only affect children’s height but also is able to make them have
illness of emotional inhibition. Emotional inhibition affects the functional
system of the thyroid and reduces the secretion of growth hormones.
As those children have poor-quality sleeps
(unsound sleeps, sleeps that aren’t deep, being easy to wake up and crying when
being woken up)…, they will receive bad effects on the secretion of growth
hormones. A part from having small shapes, those children have to face with
intellectual underdevelopments, autism, hyperactivity, eating and drinking
much, excitable activities.
Researchers recommend parents to pay
attention to their children’s developments and compare those to the
developments of their children’s classmate or the same age. If children don’t
have any change in height for a long period of time or their frequencies of
changing clothes and shoes are slower than other children’s, parents should be
careful, especially when they are over 3 years old and have the height increase
under 5 centimeters a year.
Researchers
recommend parents to pay attention to their children’s developments.
Other factors that affect children’s height
A part from lacking maternal love, there’re
other factors such as staying up late, lacking sun light, environment, lacking
essential nutrients and precocious puberty.
Nutrition deficiency is one of main factors
that affect children’s height. Therein, lysine, zinc and calcium are some of
importance elements that can determine the height. Lysine is an efficient
accelerator for secreting growth hormones.
Foods that are rich in protein and contain
lysine include meat, poultry, egg, milk, fish, shrimp, conchiferous, milk
products, peas and black sesame…
Seafood
is good for children’s height development.
Foods that are rich in zinc include
seafood, organ meats, egg yolk, beans, peanut, millet, turnip and cabbage…
Calcium is the main functional element of
bones. Foods that are rich in calcium include milk products, soy, fish and
seafood… Besides, sunshine is also able to stimulate height development.
