Throughout those lasting and boring night feeding, there’s no
surprise when your child become comfortable and snuggles and falls into a doze.
Unfortunately, an international institution warns us that, while this may be
comfortable, sleeping during feeding time can lead to shorter time of feeding
and miss some essential nutriments for development. Keep him awake while
feeding then you can lull him back to sleep.

Instruction
·
Feed him when he’s completely awake. While you can be tempted to
keep him sleepy as you can lull him back to sleep more quickly after finish feeding,
it can also lead to the fact that your baby dozes off when sucking the milk.
When your little angel is hungry, take him out of the bed and talk to him so
that he can stay awake before feeding.

·
Squeeze your breast to stimulate the milk flows and keep them
strong. A baby having enough milk can suck till he’s full. If the milk flow is
weak, your little angel can become uninterested and stop sucking, then fall
asleep.
·
Change the side when your baby starts to become sleepy. Being
switched to another breast, in combination with stronger milk flow can be
enough to stimulate the sleepy baby to finish their sucking.
·
Change the baby’s position from traditional cradle hold to
football hold. He can become too comfortable in the cradle hold position, but the
football hold position, where you tuck your him under your arm and put his head
in your hands when he’s sucking, can stop him from cuddling and become too
comfortable when sucking.

position from traditional cradle hold to football hold.
·
Tickle his feet or gently rub his head to see if it can make your
child stay awake. A couple of discomfort seconds can be enough to keep the baby
awake until finish feeding and get all the nutrition from the breast milk that
he needs to stay healthy.
