16-year-old
'Disney' teen actress Bella Thorne is designing her own prom dress collection
in collaboration with fashion label Sherri Hill. The project is Bella's first
attempt at design and the actress has called on her older sister Dani, who
works as a stylist, to help her with the new creations. The collection will
include several quinceañera dresses, made for the traditional Latin American
celebration for girls turning 15.

Last
year, Sherri designed Bella's gorgeous pink quinceañera dress which is
when the duo realized they should work together. Sherri began to use Bella as
the label's face and she also realized that the actress would be fun to
collaborate with. Bella commented on the dream come true: "It has
been a dream of mine to design dresses, and I felt like I was reliving the
magic of my quinceañera all over again! The dress Sherri designed for me last
year was such a dream come true, and I wanted to find a way to make dreams come
true for other girls."
Bella
is set to create a 20-piece partywear collection which will retail
between $400 and $900 which will go on sale this Spring. Bella previously
dished out some prom advice, advising girls to go all out and try glamorous
long dresses for their big day: "I think that since it's prom, you
should definitely wear a long dress. You can wear a short one
anytime! This is the moment when you get to be a princess, and for me,
that means a sweetheart neckline, long, then pouf-out and big."
