New
York based fashionista and street style star Olivia Palermo has opened up on
her love for London style. Always looking very elegant and refined whenever she
steps out, Olivia says that when she's in the British city, she prefers to try
to fit in with the cool vibe and changes up her style slightly, inspired by the
fashion she observes around her. Olivia commented: ''London is my second
home. I feel like each city has its own aesthetic and I'm definitely more
polished in New York. In London, I might have a tailored blazer, but I also
want to feel a little cooler, so I'll wear it with sneakers. Like, mess the
hair up a little bit.'' Olivia is a big fan of British labels and high
street stores, and says there are several that she always shops in whenever she's
in London: ''I always go to Topshop. Love Reiss and Whistles too.''
The
newly wed has recently announced that she plans to keep her own second name
after marrying German model Johannes Huebl, and she explains that her new
husband understands why she is opting to keep her own moniker. She adds that he
is in sync with her career and is always very romantic too: ''I love
Palermo and Johannes understands that. I can be Mrs Huebl at home. I think the
key to any relationship is really understanding and respecting each other. It
helps that we work in the same industry as we can bounce ideas off each other
and we get to work together a lot. And Johannes is always romantic.''
